How IaaSimov Works

Six steps. One continuous loop.

A reconciliation loop that runs across your entire marketing stack — detecting divergence, tracing its cause, resolving what's safe, escalating what isn't, hardening against recurrence, and reporting in the language of every stakeholder.

I.
Methodology
The six steps, in sequence.
01
Step 01 — Continuous monitoring

Detect.

Continuous. Atomic. 24/7.

Catch divergence at the moment it occurs — before it compounds into downstream decisions. Detection operates at the atomic level: each test targets one component within one layer.
  • SourcesGA4 events, Meta CAPI, Google tags, Shopify transactions — simultaneously, 24/7
  • CoverageConsent state, page performance, signal integrity across all platforms
  • VantageCatches divergence no single platform can see — because no platform has the full view
  • OutputEach finding carries a drift magnitude — how far the component is from expected state
02
Step 02 — Cause & scope

Diagnose.

Cause. Scope. Cost.

Traces origin, names the cause, quantifies the scope. Not "something is wrong" — but exactly what component diverged, at what timestamp, through what mechanism, and what it's costing the business.
  • RootCause isolated — not symptoms, not downstream effects
  • ChainCausal chains traced across layers — prevents double-counted waste
  • ImpactROAS, CPA, attributed revenue — each with a confidence interval
  • EstimateWaste expressed as a financial range: min / expected / max
03
Step 03 — Autonomous resolution

Fix.

No ticket. No waiting.

Resolves known divergences autonomously — within rules you define. Signal rerouted. Parameter corrected. Duplicate deduplicated. Misrouted conversion re-attributed.
  • PatternsActs only on known patterns with deterministic fixes
  • AutonomyBoundary set by your team — broad or narrow, your call
  • AuditFull trail for every action taken, every decision made
  • ComplianceAlways honours Law 01 — never let bad data harm the business
◉ Autonomous — within your rules
04
Step 04 — Human escalation

Surface.

Full context. Never silent.

When a divergence is novel, ambiguous, or exceeds the confidence threshold for autonomous action — it escalates with full context, not a vague alert. Unknown patterns are never auto-resolved.
  • ContextDelivered with diagnosis, proposed action, and estimated impact
  • ConfidenceLevel stated explicitly — why it didn't qualify for auto-fix
  • OverrideHuman decision always available, always respected
  • ExperimentStochastic divergences arrive with a proposed A/B test
◎ Human judgment — your decision
05
Step 05 — Hardening

Prevent.

Doesn’t cost you twice.

Fixes address this instance. Prevention hardens your infrastructure against recurrence. The same divergence doesn't cost you twice. Benchmarks adapt as your environment evolves.
  • GatesHard gates stop diverged data before it enters downstream systems
  • LayersValidation catches drift before it reaches the platforms
  • BreakersCircuit breakers halt data flow when divergence exceeds safety thresholds
  • BenchmarksAdapt to campaign changes, seasons, and platform algorithm shifts
◆ Infrastructure hardened
06
Step 06 — Stakeholder fluency

Report.

One finding. Four languages.

The invisible made visible. Same finding, four views — in the language of every stakeholder who needs it. The point at which IaaSimov stops being a monitoring tool and becomes a business tool.
  • EngineerSees the component — specific test, timestamp, root cause
  • PerformanceSees the layer — divergence summary by domain
  • CMOSees the business metric — ROAS, CPA, revenue impact
  • CFOSees the dollar figure — waste range with stated confidence interval
◈ Same finding — four languages
II.
Governance
What makes the methodology safe.
Governed autonomy

The Three Laws of IaaSimov.

An autonomous system operating on critical business data requires explicitly defined principles — what it will and will not do, and what cannot be overridden.

i.
LAW 01
Never let bad data harm your business.
Hard gates, validation layers, and circuit breakers stop diverged data before it enters downstream systems. Cannot be suspended — only configured. Sensitivity thresholds are yours. The law itself is not.
ii.
LAW 02
Obey the autonomy set by humans.
The boundary of autonomous action is set by the business. Broad or narrow — IaaSimov operates within whatever boundary is set. It never exceeds that boundary, even when it could resolve something more efficiently.
iii.
LAW 03
Self-heal when safe to do so.
Known patterns, deterministic fixes, above confidence threshold, within granted autonomy, full audit trail. If any condition is not met, the finding escalates. Unknown patterns always escalate.

Law 01 cannot be overridden by Law 02. Law 02 defines the space within which Law 03 operates.

Architecture

Three planes separate decision from action.

The Fix and Surface steps are governed by three planes that ensure autonomous action never exceeds its mandate.

Data Plane
Where action executes
Performs the actual fix. Signal rerouted. Parameter corrected. The data plane acts — it does not decide. It executes only what the control plane authorises.
Control Plane
Where decisions are made
Determines whether a divergence should be fixed autonomously, surfaced, or escalated. Evaluates confidence, pattern type, autonomy boundaries, and Law 01 compliance.
Management Plane
Where humans interact
Where the business sets autonomy boundaries, reviews findings, approves novel fixes, and overrides autonomous actions. Human control is always available.
The cadence

The reconciliation loop.

Not a one-time audit. A continuous loop — divergences caught as they occur, benchmarks adapted as your environment shifts.
